TNEMEC Company, Inc. Acquires Assets Of Textured Coatings Of America, Inc.

(KANSAS CITY, Mo., Oct. 24, 2019) – Tnemec Company, Inc., an industry-leading manufacturer of industrial and architectural protective coatings, has purchased assets of Textured Coatings of America, Inc. (Tex-Cote®). Established in 1961, Tex-Cote manufactures high-performance, water-based coatings for use on commercial, residential and Department of Transportation (DOT) projects, according to Terry Wallace, Vice President – Business Development at Tnemec.

“We are thrilled to welcome Tex-Cote into the Tnemec family and feel there are great synergies between the two companies,” Wallace explained. “Tex-Cote has great products, excellent production facilities and outstanding personnel. Our plan is to provide Tex-Cote with operational and managerial support for growth within its current markets and customer base.”

Textured Coatings of America, Inc. was founded in Los Angeles, California, in 1961 and quickly established a reputation for high-quality coatings that extend repainting cycles for homeowners and commercial property owners. Under the leadership of Stuart Haines, the company expanded its sales throughout North America and internationally to more than 23 countries.
